Ben is a highly accomplished school leader having led in Dubai over the last 12 years, serving as a Head of School and Vice Principal across leading international schools. He is a researcher and advisor with the OECD, championing evidence-informed practice as a driver for sustainable school improvement.
Yamen is an experienced school leader who holds a dual role as Head of Operations and Arabic Medium Lead. As Head of Operations, he oversees facilities, administrative systems, transport, health and safety compliance, and KHDA regulatory requirements, ensuring the school's infrastructure effectively supports outstanding teaching and learning. As Arabic Medium Lead, he drives the quality, curriculum alignment, and outcomes of Arabic, Islamic Studies, and related subjects, supporting teachers in improving instructional practice and ensuring full MOE compliance. Across both roles, Yamen works closely with leadership teams to foster operational excellence, curriculum quality, and a safe, well-organised learning environment for all students and staff.
Leads the A-Level programme for Years 12 & 13, overseeing university guidance, Cambridge exam preparation and the personal development of our senior students.
Tasneem Hussain is an experienced school leader with 18 years in education, including over 12 years in Dubai. Beginning her career in teaching and progressing to lead the English department across Primary and Secondary, she has served as Literacy Coordinator, Deputy Head of Secondary, Head of Secondary Girls, and currently Head of Secondary. Under her leadership, the school achieved significant upticks in DSIB inspections. She is committed to fostering strong stakeholder relationships, promoting literacy, and building a high-performing, collaborative school culture.
Lizy Rosaline is an experienced Head of Primary with over 25 years of experience across multiple curricula and a strong track record in raising standards of teaching and learning. She has extensive expertise in the DSIB Inspection Framework and has successfully led a Primary school to achieve a Very Good rating in Attainment and Progress. Lizy holds NPQH, NPSL, and a Ministry Academic Leadership Licence, along with master's degrees in English and Education. She also serves as a CIE Mentor for Professional Development Qualification. At AUS, she focuses on strengthening instructional excellence and fostering confident, independent learners.
Uzma is a seasoned Early Years leader with over 20 years of experience across Pakistan, Dubai, and Canada, bringing a global perspective to early childhood education. With a background in Education, Literature and Child Psychology, and a Montessori Diploma in early years, she blends her academic insight with practical leadership skills. Uzma is dedicated to inspiring children's curiosity and passion for discovery, while mentoring educators to develop competence and empathy in their practice. She promotes a holistic approach to education, nurturing character, well-being, and the potential of every child to become a thoughtful, capable, and compassionate member of society.
Ms Dhanya is the Head of Inclusion and Designated Safeguarding Lead at Arab Unity School, bringing over 15 years of experience in special educational needs and inclusion across international school settings. She holds a Master's in Psychology, is a MOE-licensed Special Educator, and is Level 4 certified in Safeguarding and Child Protection. She has served as Special Education Teacher and Head of Inclusion across diverse curricula, and holds certifications as an Autism Specialist with specialised training in Inclusion Leadership, Behaviour Modification, and Learning Disabilities. Ms Dhanya is deeply committed to ensuring all students are supported, challenged, and empowered within a safe, nurturing, and respectful learning environment.
Pooja Harikumar is an experienced wellbeing leader with over a decade of practice as a mental health professional in education. As Wellbeing Champion, she leads a strategic, whole-school approach, positioning wellbeing as a key driver of student outcomes, staff effectiveness, and overall school culture. Holding a master's degree in psychology, she brings an evidence-informed approach to embedding sustainable wellbeing practices. Her work focuses on strengthening safeguarding, enhancing staff wellbeing, and fostering inclusive, high-trust environments, ensuring a culture where every individual is empowered to thrive and succeed.
Paresh Bhatt is an accomplished Finance Manager with extensive experience in financial management within the international education sector. He oversees the school's budgeting, financial planning, fee management, and accounts operations, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance with UAE regulatory standards. Paresh plays a key role in aligning financial strategy with the school's long-term growth objectives, supporting leadership with data-driven insights and prudent fiscal management. His dedication to financial integrity and operational efficiency contributes directly to the high-quality learning environment that Arab Unity School provides to its students and families.
